Guest guest
ALERT! MELATONIN & ANTIDEPRESSANTS If you are taking Melatonin and an antidepressant, be sure to let your doctor know. An article in U. S. News and World Report in 1997 said if you are taking a Seratonin re-uptake inhibitor, such as Prozac, or a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAO) such as Nardil, it could result in a dangerous interaction known as “Seratonin Syndrome.” This toxic reaction can result in a stoke or heart attack. Watch for symptoms such as confusion, restlessness, sweating, shivering, tremors, lack of coordination, increased blood pressure, high fever, diarrhea and convulsions.
