Still pregnant, twitchy and surviving

Just thought I would let everyone know I am still kicking...literally...and

being kicked...alot. I haven't been able to keep up with the digests very

well since my dad had unexpected open heart surgery right before

Thanksgiving, and then I had him at my house for 3 weeks after he got out of

the hospital. He is fortunately doing quite well, and we were very lucky

that the testing the cardiologist ordered found his ruptured artery.

For the record, stress makes RLS MUCH MUCH worse. Dec. was my worst month

ever. Of course it doesn't help that I am pregnant (due in Feb) and my doc

doesn't want me to take anything except vitamins. That's ok, I don't want

any unneccessary risks either. If it gets so that I am not sleeping at all

than we will try some darvocet. Since I am not working right now, it really

isn't as important when I get my sleep. I have discovered baths...sometimes

3 or 4 a night (enough to raise my propane bill by 12 dollars a

month...grin)... help me get to sleep for at least a short period.

Anyway, I am still around, and surviving. I was thinking I could start

treating this more aggressively once the baby was born, but it just occurred

to me that most drugs are excreted in breast milk...sigh... Well, it

should get somewhat better once the baby is born anyway. At least it did

with JJ...though that was almost 9 years ago...

Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday!

Fran
