Guest guest
Just add this to the last email regarding slow release medications. My sister also wrote, in a subsequent email: " They had tried me on a slow release high blood pressure med at one time and that didn't work either!!! Just thought it was the med -- never thought about the stomach not being able to release it because it was slow release!!! When I used to get a lot of colds, I tried '12 hr Contact' and it would work for about 4 hours and then I'd be miserable for the rest of the day -- but I was afraid to take anything else with it because it was a 12 hour capsule. Now, I realize that the first 4 hrs must have released, but my system couldn't release the last 8 hrs of medication. Glad I know the reason why SR's don't work for me -- now I'll stay away from them!!! " I'd say it might be important to check your medications and if you have some that aren't working and they are slow release, you might ask about changing to a different type of that medication. Imagine all this meds advice from me, of all people. Jill, 46 Payson, AZ http://www.netzone.com/~gunzel/rls.html
