Guest guest
Dear Gloria, Research suggests that restless legs syndrome is related to Periodic Limb Movement Disorder (PLMD). Both are considered motor disorders. Please don't feel like a foreigner because we all have to start somewhere to combat this. None of us were born with all the answers. We are all still learning, experimenting, and the best thing to do is to share. So, if you've got questions, ASK AWAY! Which reminds me: has anyone heard about this new drug Pramipexole for Parkinson's patients? Someone told me it was a type of drug " related " to Mirapex & Permax. (the one you've all been talking about). Also found this: " Where to some, when being a Bed they betaken themselves to sleep, presently in the Arms and Leg and Contractions of the Tendons, and so great a Restlessness and Tossings of their Members ensue, diseased are no more able to sleep, than if they were in a Place of the greatest Torture. " Willis MD, 1685; The London Practice of Physick I was quite surprised by the date of this description of a patient. For some reason I thought RLS was a " modern " condition... Goodnight everyone, Ana Casinha Woodbridge, Ont.
