Guest guest
Hi Kat - oh something like " I have Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease affecting the job of nerves and muscles in my feet. This means I have trouble walking... " - I just say it real fast, so the 'tooth' part doesn't get any attention! LOL. And then I add at the end a bit of humour to break the word 'disease' I say " don't worry, you can't catch it! " (LOL) People are just curious what is 'wrong' - if they suddenly get worried or wonder more then I add " I was born with it " . Sometimes then they might ask " does it hurt " to which I reply " sometimes " .
