Guest guest
(This is ) I haven't written to the group in awhile. But read 's post on klonopin and just wanted to say that I have been on it for over four years, not for RLS,and it does not help it one bit.I recently ,and finally, got the VA to put me on Ultram and it pretty well takes care of my RLS. I too have a problem with addictive drugs. Usually I would be taking Tylenol 3 or 4 for my RLS ( and cronic back pain). Got addicted to methadone once and came off cold turkey....what a hell that was.BUT,it did kill RLS 100%,all of it ..never was bothered with it.For the last few years,it has been a roller coaster ride trying to find a drug that will do some good.Ultram seems to be it,for now. Thanks for listening. Pannell in Gadsden,Al.
Guest guest
Recently I learned of a neurologist who specializes in rls. His name is Art Walters, and is located close to where I live, at JFK Hospital in Edison, NJ. Apparently he does not recommend Mirapex, because of the liver involvement. Neurontin and Ultram are the meds he has prescribed for the wife of a doctor acquaintance of my husband's. Anyway, I'm going to make an appointment with him and maybe try something different. I would love to find something to help the sleep situation that is not addictive. That dog pile (what a name- and you don't search, you 'fetch " ), said ultram was not AS addictive as other drugs in that category. Any experiences any of you have, please share. Will let you know what, if anything, comes of this. ne, 59, Lawrenceville, NJ ___________________________________________________________________ You don't need to buy Internet access to use free Internet e-mail.
