Guest guest
Hi All I have not posted any messages lately....but I do read them everyday. I have had CMT for as long as I can remember...and I am now 46. About 6 years ago, I was having terrible numbness and tingling in both my hands. I am a Nurse..and I suspected Carpal Tunnel syndrome. I saw my neurologist who did nerve conduction studies. He was able to determine that the numbness was caused by the carpal tunnel and not my CMT. I went ahead and had the surgery on my right hand and then 2 weeks later on my left. It was the best thing I did. I have not had anymore numbness or tingling. I would suggest you get a different opinion if you have any doubts.....but I know for me...I am glad I had the surgery.
