I do some meditation exercises, also read inspirational things and when I really have trouble falling asleep I breathe deeply and start from 100 and count backwards. I have only got to the 80's and after that I am asleep! I also journal, part of that is to 'release' negative stuff.(like who or what is irritating me!)
