Now that they are getting together with the MD's in practices they are becoming well known. But you are very correct that the use of herbals has never been really monitored/studied/etc. And the herbalists/ naturopaths/ osteopaths have been using them anyway. We have Andy Weil here in Tucson, who is now working with the osteopaths.
