Guest guest
Welcome Martha. I have what Dr.s now think is a 'spontaneous mutation' kind of CMT. No family history either. Also none of the younger relatives have shown it. Just me! I have always been 'up front' about my CMT to friends, boyfriends, etc. This is because when I was in high school, I didn't dance for long periods, or walk long distances, and was prone to fatigue. I was diagnosed with CMT first when I was 10, not much was known about it. I always felt that I needed to tell my close friends I had it because my 'needs' were different. My needs are still 'different' but having different needs never slowed me down, just gave my life 'color' and 'unique' ways of doing things!
