I wonder if they also have 21 chemicals sprayed on them? I wonder if one of the chemicals is ethoxyquin. A couple of years ago, I did as indepth a research on ethoxyquin, and its use in the pet food industry. Just hold on a minute, I am going somewhere with this.lol This research was completely unrelated to people health, but focused on pet health, and in particular, the health of crustaceans, and how to prolong their life in captivity, which is often dreadfully short. A very weird hobby I suppose, a very aspie sort of thing to do. lol Then I found out that ethoxyquin is used in insecticidal/pesticidal formulations. The FDA for the US has set a limit for toxicity to humans. But this is a sad and interesting fact: The FDA allows up to 400 times the set toxic limit of ethoxyquin used for spray residue on fruits/vegetables as an unmarked preservative in conventional paprika and chili powder of supermarket shelves. Only these 2 spices, which apparently, go rancid on store shelves quicker than other spices. I don't believe the adding of ethoxyquin to these 2 particular spices happened until 2 decades ago. Ethoxyquin is a suspected carcinogen. Anyone who has studied E knows it is a human carcinogen, and for it to be listed in any other way is a falsehood. After my research, crustaceans in captivity and under proper care, started living longer, by avoiding the preprocessed food sold in fish and pet stores, and choosing products with no ethoxyquin when one must buy a premade food. Interesting, no? Basically, out of all spices, people should definitely avoid Paprika and Powdered Chili, and check out alternative companies for these products. Ethoxyquin is a powerful anti-oxidant, used to be mainly used in the rubber tire industry, to prolong the use of tires and certain other rubber products.
