Guest guest
Dear Everyone: Just thought anyone doing chelation would want to see this article on a 5 year child who died while receiving a chelation treatment. Doesn't give much information, an the autopsy was inconclusive. Here it is: http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/05236/559444.stm Eileen
Guest guest
Don't know of anything official yet, but someone over at Enzymesandautism's board said that Dr. McCandless ( " Children with Starving Brains " ) spoke by email with the boy's doctor (not a DAN! dr, btw) who said that the boy had an allergic reaction to IV EDTA. It was my understanding that neither IV administration nor EDTA as chelator is recommended for autism chelation protocols esp. with children. I would certainly recommend trying this only with a DAN! doc or someone who has experience with autism chelation and children if you're going to do it. So sad. My heart truly goes out to those parents. We only want our children to be healed from the harm that has already been done them. What a horrible thing to have to live with. ~Grace Re: Re: chelation FYI Dear Everyone: Just thought anyone doing chelation would want to see this article on a 5 year child who died while receiving a chelation treatment.
