Guest guest
The best lunch box idea that I know of is to invest in one or two Thermos brand stainless steel thermoses. These will keep cold food cold for 8-10 hours I believe. And they will keep hot foods HOT for 4-5 hours. I put soup directly from the stove into them and 5 hours later when I open the lids, steam comes out the top. With a couple of these thermoses you can send anything to school for lunch that you would serve the child at home. Guest guest
Looks like an excellent recipe. You said that it makes two loaves correct? What size are your loaf pans? lunch box ideas Hello Bivens, I don't know if the following recipe helps but I use this bread to make pb&J and grilled cheese sandwiches for my kids. This recipe is actually a modification on a Cashew Butter Cake recipe posted by (@ Digestive Wellness) sometime in the last 3-6 months. This bread has been a lifesaver for me. I also use leftovers from dinner for school lunches. It works very well for us. I don't know if your kids have access to a microwave or not. Hope this helps. Eileen Cashew Butter Bread 1 cup honey 18 oz. cashew butter (approx. 2 cups) 1/2 cup oil (I use grapeseed oil) 1 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon 10 eggs In a food processor, mix the cashew butter and honey. Add oil, baking soda, and cinnamon. Mix in the eggs. Bake @ 275 degrees for 1 ½ hours. Place parchment paper in loaf pans before placing batter in pan. Makes 2 loaves. Guest guest
I took a closer look at your receipe and have to ask you.....do you really put in 10 eggs? I don't own a food processor but perhaps I could try this in a blender? Guest guest
Yes, this recipe makes 2 loaves - the standard size (9 " x5 " ). And, yes, the recipe does use 10 eggs. It looks like a lot but I believe it's what makes the bread so stable. It doesn't crumble. The bread is very moist but firm. It works so well for us. I don't know if this would work in a blender. You can try it but you might end up doing it by hand. Or possibly doing half a recipe in the blender. Or what about a hand mixer? I hope you can figure out something that will work. Guest guest
Thank you! I'll get a food processor when I have the green. For now I'll try a half recipe by hand.
