We have several volunteers who are not parents of autistic children. They are very kind to want to help us and it is important to convey to them the enormity of our plight. Mimi PS. Grammy Bauer,the writer of the post below,is one of the volunteers who has dedicated a lot of time and effort to help our movement despite the fact that she has no relatives with ASD.
