We're in stage 3, only cooked fruits and vegetables. Is it ok to use a

squirt of raw lemon on our food? It always makes everything taste

better. Lemon isn't listed until stage 4. I can't imagine doing

without it for another few months. My son can't eat spices, so

everything is pretty bland now.

Hi a,

How about squeezing your day's supply of lemon and then heating it

very gently?

Oh, I thought we couldn't use lemon at all, since it's not listed until

stage 4. Thanks.

" Oh, I thought we couldn't use lemon at all, since it's not listed until stage

4. "

Juice is even allowed on the intro and is allowed from the very beginning of

the diet. The chart doesn't include juices because of that.

Lemon being listed in stage 4 would be eating the lemon with the fibrous

fleshy parts of the lemon (the way most people eat oranges). For some

people that might sound very odd, but my boys LOVE to eat lemons and limes

the way that most people eat oranges. They also eat grapefruit with no

sweetener. They love sour foods.

Does this mean I can squeeze him fresh grapefruit juice, raw? How

about raw juiced vegetables?

Is juicing legal raw vegetables ok during the cooked vegetable stages?

a H.

> You can juice anything that is SCD legal and juice-able.

> Start slowly and serve it 50/50 with water.
