Re: PCP approval! :) Put my doctor on list

Dear Everyone,

Thank you for your faihful prayers. I saw my PCP at 8:30 and she

immediately said she would give me the pre-surgery exam plus follow me up!

She looked at some of my info. She suggested I see a Dr. in Baltimore who

does open RNY's and I told her first of all open was not a consideration to

me, and that unless something came out of left field there was nothing he

could tell me to convince me of the RNY. She immediately abandoned that line

of instruction. She asked me to photocopy what I thought would be useful for

her and then sent me out to make my appt for the physical. Unfortunately,

the first appt I could get for the physical is 6/13. I guess that is ok

since it will probably take that long for me to get insurance approval if I

even get it. So with all that said, here is the info on my PCP to be put on

the list:

Dr. Hope McIntrye, 1502 S. Main St., Suite 202, Mt. Airy, land 21771

I know about the Mayberry, Mt. Airy. I think it must be much better than

the land Mt. Airy, but who knows. It reminds me of my 10 year old. I

have introduced him to the old reruns on Nick and he loves the Barney Fife

ones. Oh to live in a time like that. Of course, I think Aunt Bee should

have gone on in to Durham and spent a few days with Dr. R. if you know what I

So glad to hear that you have a supportive pcp. I had no idea you lived in

Carrol Co. My very best friend in the world, who I have know since I was 5,

lives in Furnace Mills. Do you know where that is? My uncle lived on

Braddock Rd. in Mt. Airy until he moved to lower slower Delaware. I know

everything will work out for you and you WILL get an insurance approval.

Hey, we've got a Mt. Airy here in North Carolina. What's even better, it's

right down the road from Mayberry, so if you go there say 'hi " to Andy and

Barney, and maybe you can even get a haircut at Floyd's.

Most definitely!! I visit my sister several times a year. I know I'll be

there this summer for sure. I haven't been to the Columbia Mall in ages! I

get confused with all the wacky names in Columbia. I know how to get to her

house and the stores but the names of all the little villages confuse me but

I think it is the Owen Brown center she is near.

I will keep you posted.

Hi Liz

My name is I live in Anne Arundel County I have an appt. tomorrow at

my new provider I don't no anything about her I am praying that she will

agree with the MGB, so that I want have to pick another provider. Please

pray for me my appt is tomorrow at 1pm. If she says no then I will be

switching provider. on the same day. I have spoke with Sharon of land a

she live really near. She gave my her Ph Name and number and he is also a

provider who supported her and she had the MGB a couple of months ago. Help

I need my contacts could the MGB family please help. I am trying to complete

my package so that when my doctor agree I can be completed. Thank you ALL

in ADVANCE.

1. Any problem weeks after the surgery with vomiting

2. Anyone weighing 340lbs with a Hiate/Umb. hernia If so did this prevent

or delay Surgery?

3. Anyone slightly anemia? What did Dr. R do about it, did it delay the

surgery?

4. Has anyone had problem being approved with

Aetna US Healthcare HMO?

5. Anyone had real bad gastric reflux, What did Dr. R do for treatment

prior to Surgery?

6. Could someone tell me if they had to go and visit the Clinic first and

then go back for the Surgery or did they do it all in one Visit.?

More question to come later.

I know what you mean. After I spoke to Sharon in MD and Janet in PA, (two

wonderful and supportive people I may add!), it really started to hit home

that there was in fact a surgery and a Dr. R. LOL Before I thought it was

heavenly fantasy!!
