Guest guest
a- My PCP is Dr. Overstreet in Roanoke, Virginia. He was a little reluctant at first but I took that as a good sign that he is concerned about me. I really love Dr. Overstreet. He has always been a very kind and caring person- always willing to spend time with his patients, rather than just rushing in and out of the room. Even though there are many other physicians in practice with him, I have always insisted on seeing him whenever I needed medical attention. He says he has never had a patient have this surgery before so he didn't know a lot about it. But after I gave him a copy of the Manual and showed him how determined I was, he agreed to support me. That would be my word of advice to anyone seeking approval and support from their PCP- Be well prepared when you go to see him/her. Let them see that you have throughly researched this yourself and that you are committed to it. Be willing and prepared to answer any questions they may have about the surgery and the lifestyle changes that will occur afterward. ---Just my opinion.
