whey allergy

Hi everybody,

I am new here and need your help

My daughter has high intolerance to the whey protein. I started her on

homemade goat yogurt few days ago and she seems like, does not feel

good after that. My question: is that theory about protein changing in

a yogurt also applies to the whey protein or only to casein? May be in

her case I am supposed to give up with the yogurt.

Any opinion would be gratefully appreciated.

Did you give only a tiny amount of the yogurt to start with?

The whey fraction in the goat's milk differs from that in the cow's milk. Goat's

milk is

tolerated by only 40% of children who are allergic to cow's milk. The whey

drains off when

we drip the finished home incubated yogurt through a cheeseloth, dish towel or

paper

coffee filter.

If there is a true casein allergy, use of dairy is not mandatory on SCD. However

parents

often report improvement of cognitive behavior using the yogurt.

3.What other food is she eating?
