Dear Lori,

I don't know how " famous " Dr. R is but the current waiting list of

prospective patients is now between 800-900 and there are I don't know how

many post-ops, someone said over 300.

Unfortunately, for both Dr. R and all the MGB wannabe's he is the ONLY

surgeon in the US performing this particular procedure (he developed the

modifications which make this surgery so unique done his way). We're all

hoping he finds a protoge or two to start training....even the Great Dr. R

has his limits and most of us post-ops who have been around since the early

days wonder how long he can keep up this pace. What makes that even more

difficult is that " once a Dr. R patient, always a Dr. R patient " so he also

keeps track of all of us who are already " on the other side " . The man must

have a photographic memory!
