QUESTION: I have seen references to EKG's for the past few days but for the

life of me I cannot find it on the Physical Exam form that I copied from the

Patient Manual. Are your physicians doing this as part of the exam, just to

be safe, or have I missed something? Anyone know? Thank you in advance for

taking the time to answer.

Liz,

I have not had my EKG done yet, but it is one of the things my PCP said

I had to let him do before he would write support letter. I get short of

breath really easy doing much of anything physical plus I am a smoker so he

said this and a treadmill stress test had to be done so he could be sure that

I could survive surgery in case I had any underlying problems that had not

been picked up on.
