The ingredients: > apple puree and apple concentrate. The apple concentrate is " iffy " . Is this a dried fruit type of bar? If yes, then it would probably only be for those fairly advanced if it is indeed legal. I think you were still having loose stools(?) or unformed bms, if yes then dried fruit would be too concentrated and these bars wouldn't be appropriate . Guest guest
Hi Sheila…thanks for your response. You're right, we don't have the formed stools yet, so I won't chance it. It is like a dried fruit type bar, thick like the filling of a fig newton. If anyone does find out that it is posiitively SCD legal, please let me know. I'll keep it in mind for furture snacks. Thanks, > > Hi , > > > I was at the Long Beach DAN Conference yesterday, and picked up some > > Gorge Delights " Just Fruit Bars " apple flavor from the Kirkman Booth. > The > > representative assured me that they are SCD legal, can anyone here > confirm > > that? Guest guest
I checked with both Gorge Delights & the orchard from which the company gets the fruit concentrates, and I was assured by the people who actually make the fruit concentrates that there is NOTHING but apples & pears (depending on what flavor bar) in them. My son is very sensitive, and he has done well with the bars (we especially like the pear & cranberry bars) for the last several months. We're about 10 mos into SCD, FYI.
