Guest guest
It is so good to be home and have internet access again! Katrina was awful, but some how I managed to keep my daughter on the diet. I was scared at one point because for awhile ALL the stores were out of meat, vegetables and fruit. I thought it may come to the point of having to give in, but we made it! I don't know if we could have done it without electricity for too much longer, but we got electricity in time. Just wanted to let you all know that we are safe and home (the house needs a new roof). The last time I checked in we were still evacuated and I haven't been able to access the internet since. I knew it was more important than ever to keep my daughter on the diet with all the changes taking place around her. She did really well handling it ALL, even living with 18 people that were basically strangers to her. I know before the diet that she would have really freaked out. I guess we can manage without those sought after convenience foods in a serious crunch. LOL Your dedication is typical of the lengths our wonderful parents on the list will go to to rescue their chilren. You may not have a roof over your head but you have a great head on your shoulders!
