Guest guest
Carol/List, Is ripe coconut water ok for scd? I bought a coconut and we drank the water, ate the jelly, and ate the coconut flesh. We even mixed the coconut water with goat's yougurt for a refreshing treat. I used some of the water in a banana coconut cookie recipe. We (me, 10yo daughter, 11yo son) didn't have a negative reation. I thought that was ok for scd... I need clarification. carolfrilegh c.frilegh@...> wrote: > > Does anyone know anything about Kefir? The BED also advocates things like green coconut water which are contra-indicated for our diet and can be really hard on the digestive system. A few people who left SCD and tried combined deitary interventions including BED had some very unpleasant consequences including hospitalization. Searching Mom can explain more about kefir as I belive it can be used when healing has taken place and it has some similarities to yogurt. Carol F.
