Guest guest
Thank you so much Judi! I so appreciate your answering my call for help!! I haven't taken the Vioxx in the last few days. When I don't take it or another similar med, my legs and ankles become weak and I tend to fall. Today the weakness has begun and I did not want to do without it unless it was necessary. NOw that I know, I will stay off it and be extra extra careful so I will not have a fall. As to the others I'm taking...Prilosec, Premphase and Toprol; reflux, hormones and blood pressure. I'm going to assume since the instructions do not address any of those, or unless someone tells me otherwise, that I can continue to take them. Again thanks so very much for your help. Guest guest
Dear Flo, Vioxx's pharm class is an NSAID. It would have to be D/C prior to surgery unless told otherwise by DR R. I think he wants us to stop anything that would affect our " bleeding time " (thin our blood/or cause it to not clot as fast). Some meds cant be stopped abruptly and I don't know all you are taking, but Viox I'm sure should be stopped. I sure don't want you to mess up your surgery date. Guest guest
I was very nervous the first time at bat but I know what to expect now. Besides I will see Rick go through it tomorrow. I know some of the nurses. So I'm just waiting and waiting like the ever ready bunny. I will get to meet seven people tomorrow that are Rick's littermates. I will report on everyone Thursday after I get Rick home and to bed. He needs lots of pampering so he will know what to do when he has to take care of me and Trish. LOL. I will talk to you again on Thursday. Janet Armour (Ricks Stuff) MGB 5/29/
