I just wrote about the same subject a minute ago, here's the link: http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/pecanbread/message/38502 I'll just add that some have posted that phenols/salicylates are located mostly in the peels of fruit and vegetables. So peeling ( and some double peel) will remove most. Cooking the fruits and vegetables make them even easier to digest - which is what is suggested at the beginning of the diet anyway.
