From GFCF etc. to SCD

Hello,

My 3.5 year old son has autism and has done remarkably well with the

GFCF diet for about 1.5 years. We also are rice, egg and soy free.

I'm working my way through the Vicious Cycle book and have two

questions.

1. Do most GFCF families add the milk back in when they start this

diet?

2. When my son was tested for food intolerances, he was off the charts

for eggs. Am I right in thinking that I should still keep eggs out of

our SCD diet?

Thanks,

Malinda Terreri

We don't use liquid milk except fopr homemade yogurt according to SCD

instructions and

do use most cow and goat cheeses aged over 30 days as well as dry curd cottage

cheese..

The yogurt is started several weeks after the introductory diet and ino dairy is

mandatory.

Malinda, once healing begins he may tolerate eggs, but the diet can be followed

without

them if you prefer. Eggs are a good source of dietary iron.
