Guest guest
Hi Cindy & Amy, That's right, Cindy! The first practitioner we used went through what they call the " 15 basics " - stuff like Vit. C, calcium, and basic nutrients, before she would do any food. It took a long time. She also would only do one item at a time. She used a vibrator to stimulate the energy meridians. It didn't work at all, and after a few months, I quit, quite annoyed that I had wasted my time and money on it. Then, a year later, my naturopath suggested it. I talked to a few more people about it, and decided to try again with a different practitioner. This practitioner used the method that is popular in Europe. She first tested us (me and my son) to see what color we most resonated with. We both resonated with purple, and from then on, she had us wear purple-tinted sunglasses, which she provided, during every treatment. She started out right away with real foods, and never did the basics. She also did 5 foods at a time. With her, the results were amazing. My son's eczema cleared up on the first day. I could eat things without getting a reaction. The caution is that unless you heal the gut, the allergies/sensitivities will recreate. I found that I could drink milk once without getting a reaction, and then my body recreated the allergy, since I hadn't yet healed my gut, and I wasn't taking digestive enzymes. NAET, when it works, can be a very useful tool, as long as you continue to do all the right things to heal the gut and improve your digestion. When it works, I can't say enough good things about it. The shame is that for many people, it takes some trial and error to find the practitioner that will work for you! For those people whose choices are so limited because of allergies/sensitivities, I do recommend exploring it. Guest guest
I should also say that the second practitioner used a laser light to stimulate the energy meridians. Given that when NAET works, it shows great improvement on the first day, if you've been doing it several months and still seen no improvement, I would recommend searching for a different practitioner, who hopefully practices similar to the one that worked for us. Guest guest
Thanks for the info! My son has come a long way over the last 3 months. The problem is, I have no idea if it's due to NAET, diet changes, enzymes or all of the above! We're going broke, but we're happy.
