Guest guest
Rick had his surgery the 17th. He is doing great! He had a problem during surgery that caused the surgery to take almost three hours. Every time Dr. R tilted the table his blood pressure dropped. He almost didn't get his surgery. But Dr. R being the great surgeon that he is figured that Rick needed more fluids. So he gave him three qts of liquid and then his blood pressure stayed normal. I was waiting in the lobby pacing the floor figuring that something must be very wrong because it was taking soooooo long. When Dr. R came out to see me he had a great big grin on his face so I knew all was well. Rick went to ICU to be monitored but had no problems and had a regular room around midnight. He was up and walking at 5:00 AM and I was happy to see him up and moving. Except for gas he is feeling normal. Lots of farting and burping! LOL He takes short naps but hasn't had to take many pain pills. I know what to expect now and I'm not scared. For all you pre ops out there, We say go for it. Fight the fight and get this surgery. It will save your life and Dr. R is the BEST! We will be happy to answer any pre op questions. Write to armr69@.... After the 29th you will get two contacts with one e-mail or phone call. What a deal huh? Rick on the other side Janet waiting for the 29th
