Guest guest
Avita is a prescription-only topical medication which contains a mild form of vitamin A. Some rosaceans can tolerate topical vitamin A. I would guess that most can't. I can't tolerate even the small amounts that are in some otc beauty products. I get lots of bumps and very red skin from it. Maybe your derm can give you a sample and then you can try it out on a small area of skin on your face to see if it agrees with you. Hope that helps! Guest guest
It has helped me tremendously. In fact, my derm has stated that MANY rosaceans can safely use Avita - because it is THE mildest form. It's the only thing that has worked on my rosacea-induced acne, and I'd had severe rosacea for 16+ years. My skin is highly sensitive but because Avita is so mild, I had no problems with it. There is no claim that " most rosaceans can't tolerate Vitamin A. " Everyone is different and if my face could handle it (and my face was extremely broken out and just raw), I'm sure others can too. My derm (who also has rosacea) chooses to treat every component of rosacea separately . Therefore, I apply Avita at night for acne and Metrogel in the mornings for redness. Most derms just treat the redness with Noritate or one of the Metro triplets and that's fine, but you also need to treat the acne component too, if you have that. ref. avita, cured pap. & pupls. for several years. > Someone said they applied avita and it almost cured all their pap. > and pup. for several years now.
