Guest guest
Claire, So sorry to hear such bad news. I was afraid when you posted earlier about the Roto that I would linger. You both are definitely in my prayers. You try to watch yourself, too. Try a little GATORAID or 10K drink to keep your potassium up.K? Lots of love and prayers. It just feels like the wait is forever. Be careful you both dont dehydrate. Ice Chips water...do you have a fever? * In my humble opinion you should see your pcp now, today please do not wait til your appointment. Guest guest
Claire, Glad to hear you are feeling better and things are improving. It sounds like you had the same " bug " I had about a month ago. It took forever to get over the cough afterwards. I watch my 2 grandbabies when their mothers work and we all 3 had it at the same time. I can't imagine being a post-op with it. My husband gave up his meeting to help me out. I felt soo bad. The only thing I did for them was change them. He offered, but I felt sorry for the babies, and told him I could manage that. Wishing you and a speedy recovery now. Love, Darlene >

Guest guest
Claire: I agree with Dr. R that you should not wait to go to the doctor. I had a bad case of the flu back in January and it turned into pneumonia with pleurisy. Now that was awful and very painful!! I ended up having to go the ER the day after our " blizzard. " A friend of my brother's took me in his huge 4WD and when a tree limb got in our way he got out and whacked it with his chain saw!! It's a funny thought now but geez was I in pain (from the pleurisy) and miserable at the time. And, of course, this happened during the two-week " switch over " in my insurance from Tulane and my new insurance with my NC employer (the period I was not covered). So, I got stuck with a $700 ER bill. Is that 's Law or what? Anyway, I just wanted you to be careful that it does not turn into pneumonia, cause it happened to me quick. Guest guest
Claire, Another word of advice, if you can stand it, take ALL of your antibiotic. I assume you are still on it. It is veryimportant to finish all of your antibiotics. It is never a good idea to stop taking it once you start feeling better or save it for an emergency. You have been through a major ordeal, as you well know, and are very susceptable at this time. I don't mean to imply that you would do this I just want you to know this. I hope I have not insulted you with this as it is sent with love.
