Hi Donna,

I'm just getting caught up from last week myself!

is still battling Bronchitis and Roto Virus. As soon as his Motrin

wears off his fever spikes back up although not quite as high as last week.

His coughing is worse than last week. Maybe that means it's breaking up???

I'm praying.

Meanwhile, I've been nauseas after every meal since last week and have thrown

up after several. I'm assuming I've got the roto virus too. I don't go to

see my PCP until next week so... I'm mostly sleeping and sucking on sugar

free pops to stay hydrated. And of course taking my vitamins.

I'll keep you in my prayers for your insurance. Thanks for thinking of us!

Claire,

So sorry to hear such bad news. I was afraid when you posted

earlier about the Roto that I would linger. You both are definitely

in my prayers. You try to watch yourself, too. Try a little

GATORAID or 10K drink to keep your potassium up.K? Lots of love and

prayers.

Yours in Christ's Love,

Thanks Lori,

It definitely has not been fun! I can't remember ever having a fever

that lasted a whole week! I'm close to seeing another Pediatrician for a

second opinion I think.

As for me...other than sugar free pops everything I put in my mouth is an

adventure....will I have to run to the bathroom or not lol! This too shall

pass. Better the beginning of this month than the end at any rate since we

are going on vacation May 26th. I kinda hoped I'd be in a full size smaller

by then, but it seems my body is holding on to everything it can at the

moment. I'm assuming that's because I'm not keeping much down and it thinks

I'm starving it.

Prayers are very welcome! :)

Claire,

My son had a fever for 10 days spiked at night to 104.3'

But with advil down to 101.My ped says there is nothing you can do

about the viral infections....bacteria can be treated with

antibiotics. It just feels like the wait is forever.

Be careful you both dont dehydrate. Ice Chips water...do you have a

fever?

*

In my humble opinion you should see your pcp now, today please do not

wait til your appointment.

May the Lord heal you, make you both healthy and comfort you . In HIS

name, I pray! AMEN!

In Christ

Claire,

Glad to hear you are feeling better and things are improving. It sounds like

you

had the same " bug " I had about a month ago. It took forever to get over the

cough afterwards. I watch my 2 grandbabies when their mothers work and we all 3

had it at the same time. I can't imagine being a post-op with it. My husband

gave up his meeting to help me out. I felt soo bad. The only thing I did for

them was change them. He offered, but I felt sorry for the babies, and told him

I could manage that. Wishing you and a speedy recovery now.

Love, Darlene

I agree with Dr. R that you should not wait to go to the doctor. I had a bad

case of the flu back in January and it turned into pneumonia with pleurisy. Now

that was awful and very painful!! I ended up having to go the ER the day after

our " blizzard. " A friend of my brother's took me in his huge 4WD and when a

tree limb got in our way he got out and whacked it with his chain saw!! It's a

funny thought now but geez was I in pain (from the pleurisy) and miserable at

the time. And, of course, this happened during the two-week " switch over " in my

insurance from Tulane and my new insurance with my NC employer (the period I was

not covered). So, I got stuck with a $700 ER bill. Is that 's Law or

what?

Anyway, I just wanted you to be careful that it does not turn into pneumonia,

cause it happened to me quick.

Claire,

Another word of advice, if you can stand it, take ALL of your antibiotic. I

assume you are still on it. It is veryimportant to finish all of your

antibiotics. It is never a good idea to stop taking it once you start

feeling better or save it for an emergency. You have been through a major

ordeal, as you well know, and are very susceptable at this time. I don't

mean to imply that you would do this I just want you to know this. I hope I

have not insulted you with this as it is sent with love.

Claire,

I am so glad to hear that you are feeling better. YOu had me worried

there for a little bit. I'm glad to hear that got well and is

in a huggy mood. That in itself is very healing isn't it.

Don't know if I've ever told you personally, but I enjoy your post so

much. You really pick me up just when I need it - even if your words

are really meant for someone else.

Here's hoping and praying that you get your clearance for your

vacation. Sounds like an adventure of a lifetime.
