Guest guest
This is my current recipe....just slightly revised: Turn your yogurt maker on and put a cup and a half of water in it. Put 2 and a half cups of almonds in a blender with 4 cups of water and a half cup of honey. Blend on high speed for 10 minutes. Add 1/4 tsp (this is double what is suggested) yogurt starter & 4 acidopholius capsules (www.gihealth.com) and blend on high for 30 seconds. Pour into container & snap lid. Put container in the yogurt maker and cook for 8 hrs. Let it refridgerate for 8 hrs. I top the yogurt with homemade jam or berries. Yogurt Ice Cream recipe my kids love: In a blender put 2 cups of nut yogurt, 2 cups of fruit and a half cup of honey in a blender and mix until well blended. Pour into an ice cream maker and mix for 20 minutes. This is great for birthdays. Beth Bivens Beth Bivens, please post your recipe. I am really impressed with your yogurt results, and it seems that lots of other people are interested, too. Could you post your exact recipe so we can try it? Thank you, thank you, thank you!! Guest guest
Do you filter out the nut flour after blending? If not, does it help the bacteria to grow? I cook mine in the oven. Do you think it makes a difference whether you keep it covered or not? Thanks, Laurie mom to & , SCD 2 yrs. > > This is my current recipe....just slightly revised: > > Turn your yogurt maker on and put a cup and a half of water in it. > > Put 2 and a half cups of almonds in a blender with 4 cups of water and a half cup of honey. Guest guest
Hi Laurie, > Do you think it makes a difference whether > you keep it covered or not? When incubating yogurt you should keep it covered enough to prevent it from becoming contaminated.
