Applegate Farms lunch meats - sliced fresh (not pre-packaged)

I get my Applegate Smoked Turkey from Whole Foods Deli. They slice it

for me (it's not pre-packaged). The ingredients listed on the packaging

are turkey breast, water, & salt. Likewise, the Smoked Chicken

ingredients are chicken breast, honey, water, & salt. This sure looks

good to me. I know the pre-packaged meats have many illegal ingredients

like listed below.

So, what am I missing??

In regards to Applegate Farms' sliced lunch meats.

All of them except the roast beef have either carrrageenan (illegal),

evaporated cane juice (illegal) or " spices " (which means you'd have to

trace

the spices back to their source to find whether they were legal).

I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the Applegate sliced turkey

and

chicken are not suitable for SCD.
