Guest guest
I may be interested to try, especially thick fruit purees containing banana. I am saying " try " because my son is very concerned with the " right " taste. Right now I only feed him Beech-Nut brand because of the taste. I tried all the organic brands but he wouldn't eat them. Even my own home-cooked food hardly competes. The only home-cooked food he likes is my lentil soup with vegetables, which is SCD legal. He used to like other stuff, but I stopped cooking it when we started SCD. I am trying to develop my own banana puree, it's hard because the taste and texture have to be perfect for him. I hope when he improves he won't be so picky. I am also considering sending a sample of his favorite BN to a lab, to check the carb content. Guest guest
We are currently working on trying to have another child! We are switching to all of the all natural organic foods and would be more than happy to see this kind of businessout there for baby foods. Great idea. Lots of work though. Guest guest
I think since it is still so close to Elaine's passing that approving something like this for SCD would have to wait. Elaine's daughter is still working on all of the things that need to be done to get Elaine's affairs in order. In the future, I am sure that she will have more time to consider approving something like this for SCD. Pre-made foods were never endorsed by Elaine. So, it would probably take an actual inspection of the facility where the foods would be prepared in order for anyone to actually say that the final product is legal. It is a great idea and I am sorry that it sounds so daunting to actually get it SCD approved, but Elaine was very, very particular about what she did and did not approve. I also think that you would have more clients than you could personally handle. Are you thinking of doing this out of your home?
