Guest guest
<< JoAnn- So sorry this has happened to you. It is very unfair. Keep your chin up. We are all praying for you. Have faith. Something will work out for you. I don't know your insurance situation but is it possible for you to switch during open enrollment to someone else who would approve you going out of network? Take care' Jackie in DE pre-op BCBCDE date ?? Hi Jackie, I work for a local hospital. We have yearly insurance options starting January 1st. We elect which insurance to pick in November. I'm afraid if I wait and they don't offer an insurance co that even cover WLS that I will be totally out of luck. I guess I should feel fortunate to even have the option of being able to have this surgery at all. I know there are many who can't even have the option to have the surgery at all. It's just being a diabetic I worry about ht e healing process, not to mention all the extra pain involved and increased complications. I feel better today and one way or another I will overcome! Thank you all for your caring. Joann ^j^ " Friends are angels who lift us to our feet when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly. Guest guest
Hi JoAnn- I do know what you mean. When I was denied to go out of network the first time I asked my husband what I should do and he reminded me that his benefit choices seem to be getting worse every year. I had mad up my mind that if I was not allowed to go out of network there must be some reason why and I was going to check out my second choice. A local doc. Be patient and ask this other doc what kind of experiences he has had with operating on people with diabetes. I want to see you get better. Diabetes is an awful disease. My mom passed away in Jan of 99. Now she was 82 and had heart disease but the diabetes just complicated everything. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Take care!
