I am sorry but water chestnuts are not permitted on SCD. If you do a Google

search you

can find recipes and prepare them for someone else.

I seem to recall hearing a tape done by Elaine where she explained some info

about chestnuts, not water chestnuts. I thought she did say she had put a whole

writeup on her website about the using of chestnuts as a flour. She was doing a

question and answer time and someone asked the same question. Maybe someone

Hi Betty Jo,

The question was about water chestnuts and my reply was taken from Elaine's

website.

Water chestnuts are a tuber.

If you need to know about chestnuts, they are legal and come from a tree:

May be tried when symptom free. However, if you buy dried chestnuts, soak them

and

cook them until soft.

Chestnut flour is not legal.
