Guest guest
Oh Dee Dee, I'm so glad that all is well and you're home. I was sitting next to you at the support meeting, my husband and I both claim Arizona as home even though we now live in NC. Prayers are answered, aren't they? Keep us informed of your progress, please, in Chapel Hill
Guest guest
Hello Again ~ Thanks SO MUCH for the wonderful messages I have received, both on the MGB list and by private email. I have been very encouraged and inspired by your words!!!! It's amazing to hear about this procedure from so many people who have experienced it first hand. I finally discussed the possibilities of having MGB with my family and they are behind me 100%. Needless to say, it is frightening to think about having surgery but I am prepared to accept the risks. Nothing is more frightening than facing a future with no hope of living my life to it's fullest potential. I am ready to take the steps necessary to change my life . . . no matter what it takes! I just had a complete physical with a local doctor who is in my PHP insurance network. I wrote him a very detailed letter in advance explaining my situation and desire to have MGB surgery. I also attached the letter from Dr. Rutledge. My prayer is that I will be an acceptable candidate for the surgery. I work for AAA in the Sales and Marketing department and we have excellent medical insurance. Hopefully they will pay the majority of the cost. Please keep your fingers crossed!!! I must work things out one step at a time. I hope that all of you will be my email buddies. It means so much to have the support of people who have truly been there! I think I told you that I'm a singer. I travel quite a bit with the gospel group, Song Of Praise. (http:/members.aol.com/sgofpraise/) Do visit our web site when you get a chance. I have probably gained about 60 pounds since our CD cover picture was taken. We just used " head shots " since I am so crazy about my weight. However, it's impossible to hide when you walk out on that stage!!! Horrors! Which is exactly why I'm doing it less and less! Please pray for me as I begin this journey!!! May God bless you all, Teilah Columbia, South Carolina
