Hi, and everyone,

I'm new to the group. I read with interest 's post about enzymes to " get

over the hump " of gut healing. My 11 yo daughter went into a flair after

catching a cold about 2 weeks ago.

(I think the cold was brought on by the three novocaine shots she had at the

dentist's office.)

She's on the SCD for Ulcerative Colitis. Are the enzymes supposed to work for

her condition, or are they specifically for people with autistic-related

digestive problems?

Thanks,

Mom of 11yo daughter w/UC 7/04, SCD 5/05

TMK, the enzymes aren't specifically for those with Autism related

digestive problems although they are helpful for them. I don't know

if they would be helpful during a UC flare or not.

If still having a flare it may be a good idea to go to basic

foods/intro diet for a few days until it is under control.
