There's a cheese cracker recipe on the SCD site, using almond flour,

cheddar cheese, oil. water, oregano, cayenne pepper and salt. I use the

recipe as adapted in the cookbook from Lucy's Kitchen with the Indian

recipes (can't remember the title). The other Lucy's cookbook has great

breads - onion, garlic, with parmesan - that also make great crackers.

Yes, crunch is a problem.

If he's willing to try sweeter stuff, you can try dried crispy apples.

I look forward to other people's recommendations.

Take care, Fay (13 y.o. son with Crohn's, off prednisone but on other

meds, on SCD since late August, and - drum roll - latest labs had all

bloodwork in normal ranges!!!!! ;-)

P.S. About pizza - I liked the pizza in the book Breaking the Vicious

Cycle. (I think it was 's pizza and I liked how it came out if I

doubled the crust. Of course DS didn't like it.)

Have you made squash chips, beet chips or carrot curls yet?

Kids love them. They are on the Pecanbread website:
