Guest guest
Have > you tried the many recipe > links and approved cookbooks for SCD? How many are there? I have one by Esther Weiss and the 2 from Lucy. My son misses salty, crunchy stuff, and is living on the cheese cracker recipe in the cookbook with Indian recipes. I don't have internet access but that may change within the month. If anyone has any links I can forward them to a friend who will send them to me in their entirety. Thanks, Fay

Please let us know what your daughter is eating and perhaps we can make suggestions to " liven things up. " After five years I never tire of the diet. Have you tried the many recipe links and approved cookbooks for SCD? There are some wonderful dishes. Carol F. SCD 5 years, celiac Hi Carol Thanks for getting back to me, really appreciate it. My daughter started the SCD diet, not because of any " Gut " issues (she has PDD, Autistic behavior), but because I thought that the diet was more healthy than gfcf diet. Also after doing some research found out that the rice and potato was not good for you, most of the gfcf diet was based on these flours. The nut flours are so much healthier, and wanted to use recipes for her snacks, cookies and muffins, breakfast, etc. We eat very healthy here (she does anyway), all fresh or frozen vegs. and fruits, and all homecooked meats, etc. We have used many of the recipes, pancakes, waffles, all of different muffins, monster cookies, peanut butter cookies, jam, oatmeal, pizza, flat bread, many of the toffee and candy, granola, etc. She is just bored with them...... Send in muffins and cookies and she doesn't eat them. I think the diet is great, I love the stuff. So what do I do now?? I can't imagine saying here a piece of pizza, or some wheat bread. Its so much better to start your day with a nut muffin, than a wheat waffles! I just haven't come across anyone that stopped the SCD diet or gfcf. I've heard of many people quitting the diets because they stated that they didn't work (but did they really follow the diet 100%?) Guess I'm looking to see what different people have done after years of being on these diets. Thank so much for all you help. in NJ
