re constipation and a question

I'm an adult newly on SCD. I have had a terrible time with

constipation myself, but as the diet progresses, I am getting better.

Maybe it's the same with your kids. Maybe they need a little time

for the belly to respond.

I have a question regarding casein sensitivity and SCD. I have heard

that there is a casien free version of the diet, in fact I think it

was mentioned in the book, but how does that work? Do any of you have

casein free kids? What do you feed them? I am interested because my

grandchild is on the spectrum and very sensitive to casien (ie or

ei?), but his gut issues are quite serious. I'm thinking that this

might be a very good idea for him too, but wonder about what he would eat.

Simply avoid dairy. It is not mandatory. I take probiotic capsules which have

similar

friendly bacteria such as those in the yogurt. They are Lyosan Yogurt with

Acidophilus,

available from Lucy's Kitchen Shop.

They come in plastic bottles of 90.

Many people find they can tolerate the dry curd cottage cheese and yogurt after

being on

the diet for a while. Actually the dry curd cottage cheese (DCCC) is on the

introductory

diet.

Constipation remains a problem for me but generous amounts of almond flour, ( a

good

source oif fiber ) and plenty of fruits and vegetables keeps me regular even

though the

stool is hard.

If interested there are many other SCDrecipes at (although they are
