Guest guest
Hi Tammy, We have also been SCD for 5 months and are seeing formed stools. I have noticed that the poos are of smaller portion, do you think this is because they are formed or because it is a constipation thing and only so much comes out? We have had formed stool for about 5 days now, with one day being a little loose. Do you know if this means he ate something no tolerated when it became mushy for a day? The other question I have is, my son never really had a D problem. His stools use to be always mushy and different colors. I haven't noticed huge changes with the diet yet and was wondering how I could really determine if this is the diet for him. I just assume since he is autistic that his intestines are not healthy and because his stools were never formed. The rice bran is rice bran oil and Elaine okayed them. Some find the that the rice bran oil one works better and others like the cellulose filler enzyme. > Oh by the way...we had a good poo today!!! When the stool becomes solid after being either diarrhea or mush you lose a lot of water weight so there will be some less - it is more compacted as the body pulls water back into the body instead of losing it (and nutrients) in the stool. Did he eat something different in those days? Are you keeping a food journal? > The other question I have is, my son never really had a D problem. > His stools use to be always mushy and different colors.
