Guest guest
Marsha I also have Poly cystic ovary syndrome. Mind if I ask what your BP is? The diastolic is the lower number and the systolic is the top number. Most people think of high blood pressure when the diastolic is 90 and upwards. What most people don't know realize is the systolic is often raised (160 and above) and the diastolic normal in the beginning stages of hypertension. Another possibility could be a sluggish lymph system. Are you seeing an internist versus a general or family practitioner? Internist have a bit more training and probably would serve you better. Guest guest
, My blood pressure is normally 118/78. Every once in a while the systolic will go up to 125 or 130 but that's rare. I used to be on blood pressure medication but about 12 years ago I was put on thyroid medication and it dropped my blood pressure and cholesterol dramatically. I haven't had any problems with high blood pressure since. My PCP is an internist. I've been with him for about four years due to the thyroid and a blood clot I got from birth control pills. The sluggish lymph system seems the more likely culprit. I have a lot of problems with my sinuses and inner ear. I take a lot of decongestants for it and the lymph glands under my arms are frequently sore and tender. So how do I get my lymph system moving? Should my PCP be able to help me with that? The only thing I've been told about it is that I need to exercise regularly. Plus I've just started having regular therapeutic massages. Any other suggestions would be most welcome.
