Guest guest
A;lso, Sheila, as you know I have been belly-aching about getting the abdominal xray that the Pfeiffer Center recmmended, and decided not to go for it. But the lady who analysis his voice prints thinks that there is probably some food still in his diet that he isn't toleratingand is causing inflammation which might be inflaming the bowels. It's difficult to pinpoint, but she suggested bringing a little bit of all the foods he eats to our kineseologist for testing, and if he can't find anything, she thinks it's time for a GI workup with Dr. Buie (or maybe Dr. Krigsman) who is familiar with asd problems. I really hate to go that route. We'll see. a H. > > > > > > Hi a, > > > > > > What are his symptoms? > > > How are his bm's? (dry stool, small balls etc.) > > > How often does he have a bm? How long has he been on the homeopathic treatments for parasites? Hopefully as he is on the diet there will be more healing inthe gut to allow the antiparasite treatments to work more efficiently. Do you know which parasites it is? Sheila, SCD 56 mos, 21 yrs UC mom of , SCD 41 mos

Guest guest
Pfeiffer said that they 'can't clean him out if there is an obstruction, so he needs an xray first'. As for the diet, I don't know what the intro is. We started with stage 1 (one day), then stage 2 (one day), then stage 3 for the next 3 months. We couldn't do the first two stages more than one day since he has to rotate his proteins. If he ate chicken for 3 days, that would be the end of chicken for him. Could happen with vegetables to, actually. What he eats now is 15 cups almond yogurt per week, 'sour' fruits (g.s. apples, pears, berries, kiwi, grapefruit), all vegetables except mushrooms, brocolli, watercress, eggplant, peppers), chicken, turkey, salmon, almond butter, avocado, and we added back in cultured vegetables when we saw no change from scd. a H. > > Hi a, > > > A;lso, Sheila, as you know I have been belly-aching about getting > the > > abdominal xray that the Pfeiffer Center recmmended, and decided > not > > to go for it. > > What is the x-ray for exactly? > > But the lady who analysis his voice prints thinks that > > there is probably some food still in his diet that he isn't > > toleratingand is causing inflammation which might be inflaming the > > bowels. If he is still having constipation he is probably not tolerating some food. The parasites are possibly causing some continued inflammation preventing further healing. Has there been much improvement with the homeopathic treatments for the parasites? Any improvement with the constipation since being SCD and using the treatments? Guest guest
Hi Sheila, Well, he couldn't have done the Intro diet anyway. At the time we started the diet he couldn't eat chicken (headaches and canker sores). We've since found grass fed chicken and he seems to do fine with that. He also can't eat beef or eggs. He was intolerant of carrots at one time, so we don't do them every day either. And I made him jello with grape juice after being on the diet for about a month, and he got a collossal headache (probably mold in the grape juice or too much sugar for his critters). In our case, eating the same protein every day would cause a problem (leaky gut). I think you're right that there is some food he's eating that is causing inflammation. Next week we are going to try eliminating peas and green beans for a week and see what happens. All other beans aggravate his psoriasis, and peas and green beans are in the same family. Since he's been with this doctor, he's been doing better in the sense that all his lab work comes out better, but the symptoms I can see have not changed (mild itching and constipation)at all with the homeopathics or with SCD. I think that some people might see big changes on scd because the diet might be a huge change from what they had been eating. In our case, he had been totally off grains for years anyway, had already been eating almond yogurt, and lots of almond flour products before we started. We did remove red potatoes and yams, and some other things infrequently used like arrowroot, kuzu and sea vegetables (I still don't see that they could make much of a difference). I was hoping that eliminating raw foods would have made a difference. Thanks for your help. I'll post how the legume elimination goes. I'm hoping it's the last missing piece for him. a H. > > Hi a, > > > Pfeiffer said that they 'can't clean him out if there is an > > obstruction, so he needs an xray first'.
