Thanks, Carol. This might work for me but I'm not so sure I could get my

son to drink it. I was wondering if anyone out there knows of any herbal

cough meds where I wouldn't have to give him any more than a teaspoon or so.

Thanks,

Diane

A tried and true " comfort " drink is hot (boiled) water with honey and lemon.

Or you canadd

orange juice and a pinch of ground cloves to hot water, or cinnamon. instead

as a

variation. I sometimes use saccharine instead of honey. This drink helps me

feel better. I

alo use Vicks vapor Rub on my chet and even though chemically sensitive,

don't have a

problem. I do not know if it is restricted from autistic children.

Sorry, not exactly answering your question, but we make this honey/lemon

" tea " for our kids all the time. They just love it! And they feel sort

of grown up, drinking " tea " just like us. :-)

Well, I'll may give it a shot if no other suggestions come along (and maybe

even if they do), but I know my son and I feel certain he won't like it. It

is easy to do so not much effort would be wasted. It just so happens I sent

this question out last night and he has a runny nose today. I think I

brought it on!
