I still have one every other day but nothing compared to before surgery. Do I

miss having them in my hand all the time yes but it is not as hard as I

thought it would be? I drink a lot of crystal light and sugar free koolaid

now. UGH I hate water.

All this weight loss must be going to my head though because my husband left

to go on a month long deployment last week and I did something I never

thought I would do. I went to a tattoo polar and got a tattoo. It is

beautiful. I went shopping yesterday and I could just go into the normal

size clothes and pick out a size 14 and they fit. I found myself still

wandering around in the plus size. My husband says he is starting to worry

about me heck I am just trying to have a little fun. LOL

Suzi, I have been married for 12 years to my best friend. I have heard the

same thing about some marriages ending in divorce after wls. The way I see it

is their marriages must have been in trouble before the surgery. I think if

your marriage is strong then there shouldn't be any problems. I for one think

wls spices up a persons marriage. My husband is loving ever minute of it. My

kids say they need a needle to pop my head it is getting so big.LOL !!! I

just see myself becoming a little more adventurous and outgoing. I am

starting to come out of my shell and loving every minute of it. In fact my

husband is in Puerto Rico right now he is in the Navy and I am thinking of

leaving the kids and jumping on a plane next weekend to spend a couple of

days with him. Before I lost 80 pounds I would have never thought of going

because I would have felt to fat and had nothing to wear now I can throw a

couple of my size 14s in a bag and jet. Finally in our 12 years of marriage I

can finally say I weigh less than him. I am sitting here laughing my ass off

at that. I now tell him he needs to drop a couple of pounds. LOL

You go for it girl. I think that is a fantastic idea. If this major surgery

can't change our lives and make us a bit wild and crazy why bother. I think

if I ever get off the fence and make my decision to go for it......God help

those around me when I slim down. I will loose weight and all my fat

inhibitions. I am smiling just thinking about it. You hit that plane girl

and go surprize that husband. Liz

You can get sugar free tang, it has vitamins. And drink the water! Your

kidneys need it

suzi, I would say that might be because the overweight person feels that is

all they have or are worth. And after they get down and have some self

confidence in stead of working thru problems they feel they are not going to

take it anymore. And sometimes the spouse feels safe with a fat person,

after all they are going to look at them, and now they have lost weight and

jealousy start and then they lose trust and give up. These are a few points

they discussed at a seminar I went to here. They were trying to prepare

patients and their spouse for emotions that can happen. They encouraged

everyone to discuss their goals together and seek counseling if there are

problems. I was sitting next to a lady that said yeah, new body new man. I

thought why are you with someone you would discard that easy. So the moral

to the story is if there was nothing there before the surgery there is going

to be nothing there after. RAMBLING sooooooorry

I don't think you need to go crazy, I will be happy just to be me again, not

to worry about how I look and what people think about my weight. IM already

Hey, I'm going to get surgery in June I hope,and my husband says the same

thing,he worry's about the way this weight loss will affect me.You know I

heard that 6 out of 10 marriages end in divorice after the wife has bypass

surgery,I myself have been married for 15 years and some have been very

rocky but I don't see why so many marriages end just because of surgery!!! I

jusst thought you like to hear that,my mom told me this the other day and I

Does the sugar free kool aid or tang taste ok after surgery?

Because I just need the sugar in mine to drink it.
