Dear Genz,

I am not a nurse, but when I had a total hysterectomy 2 yr. ago along with a

bladder repair, the terminology used was a " burch procedure " , named after

the doctor who created it. Worked like a charm too, have had no more

incontinence problems, in spite of my weight.

Dear ,

Thanks. I had mine done 15 years ago with my hysterectomy also. The only

thing I remember is the doctor saying he " tacked " my bladder up to the abdominal

wall. At least I think that is what he said. Anyway, the excessive weight all

these years has taken its toll on the repair job. I found some info on the web

last night and there are actually several different procedures used. Guess I'll

use generic terms in my write-up. Thanks for your help.

Bye,

Genz
