Liz,

Congratulations on the great changes. I have to say that the tone of your

emails has changed so dramatically since you first came onto the list. You

sound so much healthier and relaxed. You were kinda frantic there for a

while. Any word on your lawsuit?

>>

Hi, I'm Liz, I appreciate the above but the below makes me think you might

have me confused with someone else. I don't have a lawsuit. I just saw my

PCP today and she agreed to follow me and do the pre-exam, etc. But I think

you are remembering my frantic days, I WAS really frantic....but amazingly it

is going away and has become almost total excitement. I can't wait to hear

from my insurance and I have a 6/13 physical exam appointment with my PCP.

And just a note...My husband called his doc today to tell him what I was

doing and his doc (whom I like and respect) suggested I get follow up from as

gastroent.....(sp) and gave my husband the name of a new hotshot in town.

Told me to just call him on the phone and tell him what I am doing and ask

what he thinks, and if he will follow me after I return. Sounds good to me.

I called his secretary and she said of course he would call me. He is at the

hospital most of today so will either call late today or early tomorrow since

it is no emergency. Boy, things are really falling into place. :) Liz

Hello from in Missouri/ My law suit is still in the making and I

hope it won't be too much longer before we go to court!!! I am so excited

about it and really looking forward to telling my story before God and

everyone!!!! I will keep everyone informed as we progress. Maybe to help

with the confusion as to who is who. Just call me the the other

Eliz I think likes to be called Liz. Anyway yes I am more relaxed now and

have gotten over a lot of my anxiety. When I arrived in Durham last January

I could hardly breathe from all the weight I was carrying around and my sky

better, to say the least!!! I am one " Lucky Ducky " . MGB 1 10 2000 172 lbs/

Dear Liz, The hardest part for me is being patient with myself as I learn

what foods agree with me and which ones simply do not!!! I still make

mistakes, but they are getting fewer and farther inbetween. I really cannot

tolerate sweets, except for about one bite. I make desserts at home out of

the sugar free instant jello pudding mixes mixed with the free cool whip and

layered on grahm crackers in a casserole or I use vanilla waffers and bananas

with vanilla sugar free inst pudding mix and get along great. Also the sugar

free pop cycles make a nice treat. I really don't crave sweets at all. I

use to be terribly addicted to sweets and chocolate and would eat a whole can

of choc frosting in one day!! I was one hopelessly addicted food a holic!!!!

I am so thankful to be free of those horrible cravings that were killing me.

Bye now and will be anxious to hear more of your story too. in

My law suit will take place as I sue the insurance company for denying

payment on my claim for the MGB which I had on Jan 10, 2000. They required

me to see a obesity specialist in St Louis, which I did and to fill out pages

and pages of papers in order to be precerted for coverage of my surgery.

After weeks of complying with all their requests, taking xenical and all

kinds of other delays and they implied that I would be covered in many

different letters. The bottom line is we are going to sue them and I have

an excellent attorney that is working on my case and says that we WILL

WIN!!!!! So please pray that I do, as it will set a presidence for many

others that want to have the surgery. in Missouri MGB 1 10 2000 /

Hey, I just decided that I am going to start going by Anne!!! That

is my name and a lot of people here call me that, if you can imagine. Seems

awfully long, but I don't want to put Liz in land over the edge any

more!!!! lol lol lol Liz you crack me up!!! That last remark about being

over the edge, made me laugh out loud and I am still laughing. So remember

now. I am Anne from Missouri. Let's hope I remember to sign my

Henery, Anne!!! I think we are all cracking up under this

name pressure.

This is just too funny isn't it. I see Liz in the Subject Line of my e-mail

and I go there first because it's something for me...but it's not, it's for

Liz in CT, or or you or is it really for me...or was it from me. :)

You be Anne from Miss. or maybe you could be Miss

(optional Anne). I'll be Liz or Liz/Md or Anything Else you want me to be.

By the way, it's been a real pleasure meeting you and you don't have to worry

about putting me over the edge...that's where my house is anyway. LOL

Way to go ,

We pay our hard earned dollars to these insurance companies

and then they are allowed to hold us hostage as to what they will and will

not cover even when we see it and can be shown in document after document

that we are trying to save our own lives and probably save them money down

the road. So you go get them and get them for everything you can!!!!!!
