The rice cereal isn't okay but how about making a rice type cereal with nut flour. Just stir nut flour with boiled water until smooth then cool. What foods is he okay with? Vegetables etc. ? How about mashed vegetables? Carrot chips recipe at http://pecanbread.com/recipes.html Sheila > > Graham has been GFCF for about 4 months now. Guest guest
Hi a, My daughter was on neocate also and is doing much better off it! We have been on SCD for about 3-4 weeks and she is eating more food and drinking homemade chicken broth with pureed chicken in it (a y-cut nipple). She is 16 months old. Good luck! > > Hi a, > > > Graham is transitioning from babyfood to " people " food. Our OT > > wants us to " chunk-up " his babyfood by adding crushed rice cereal, > > corn chips, or potato chips. Guest guest
One of my favorite restaurants serves carrot curls. They're probably not legal there but thanks for the idea. We're trying to stay away from nut flours and eggs due to family history of food allergies and now we're avoiding phenols too. Ugh. No one ever said it would be easy right? > > Hi a, > > > Graham is transitioning from babyfood to " people " food. Guest guest
Hi a, I would not put rice or chip in his foods. You can chunk things up by steaming some fruits in small chunks and adding them to his cereal. Or maybe some softer meats mixed into the babyfood. For Broderick I would put some babyfood on his plate and next to it some cooked veges and then alternate spoonfuls. You can maybe break up into bits some SCD legal muffins or cookies and alternate between feeding that and then a sip from the bottle/sippy cup. You can also fry some chicken or fish, that would have a crunchy texture. Broderick has decided that he is off babyfood completely (he decided this week). Please let me know what you decide to do. > > > > > > Graham has been GFCF for about 4 months now. We are trying to > > > transition to SCD and be low phenol as well.
