Hello everyone

My daughter has been on the SCD diet for approximately 1 1/2 years now. She

is also gfcf, soy free, additive/preservative, sulfites, dyes, etc. I know a

a great deal of people on the diet. But my question is how long do you stay

on it? Then what start introducing the food that I took away?

My little one is getting really bored eating all these things with the

different nut flours. She's tired of the muffins and cookies, even though I am

very creative.

Please help me, not sure where to go and how long to stay on this diet.

Thank you

The diet should be followed until ONE YEAR AFTER ALL symptoms have disappeared.

Please let us know what your daughter is eating and perhaps we can make

suggestions to

" liven things up. " After five years I never tire of the diet. Have you tried the

many recipe

links and approved cookbooks for SCD? There are some wonderful dishes.

I know one woman who eats a few of the " old " things on her annual two week

holiday and

then returns to SCD. Her Ulcerative Colitis was cured by SCD. She co-authored

the new

cookbook, " The Grain Free Gourmet. "

Meanwhile SCD pizza, cauliflower 'risotto, " instant ice cream made in the Omega

juicer,

Jodi's Lemon Meringue Pie, Apple Gallette, Canelloni and lasagna will stop the

boredom.

After one year of no symptoms, cautiously introduce former foods. Use them

occasionally

if they prove agreeable.
