Guest guest
hi it needs to ferment for 24 hours, this gives the bacteria a chance to eat pretty much all of the naturally occuring sugars. 24 hours is about right - if you leave it any longer it can become quite tart plus the bacteria can mutate, i believe, if my memory serves me right. hth emma > > I am going to make goats yogurt, with the ProGurt starter. > I have the single jars.. > How long do I let it sit (ferment - is that the word)? > I am used to doing nut yogurt.. > More than 12 hours?? > Is longer better?? Guest guest
Tami, Just look at the directions on pecanbread.com. That will help you get accustomed to the goat vs. the nut yogurt. It needs to ferment for 24 hours. http://www.pecanbread.com/goatyogurt.html To make it in the single serving jars, just follow all of the directions until the part where it says to pour all of the mixture into the container and pour the mixture into the individual containers instead.
